Gerardo Saavedra of Felipa Creative Studio: We have already broken the barriers

Felipa: Creative Studio celebrated its ten-year anniversary, and his Founder & CCO, Gerardo Saavedra shared with PRODU that they achieved a shortlist in the PR category at this year’s Cannes Lions Festival for work done for Adidas.

“It was an example of influencer marketing. We made a lot of noise and achieved impactful results,” he said.

At the Latin US Day in Cannes, he reflected on their journey as an agency at the festival and mentioned that six years ago they stood out in the Young Lions competition. “We are proud to be here now, sharing with more Latin talent,” he noted.

Additionally, he mentioned that they are working with other major brands like P&G and Riot Games. “We have already broken the barrier, which is always the hardest part,” he pointed out.

Regarding Mexico, he commented that he observes rapid growth and the creation of many more independent agencies. However, he believes there are still limited budgets. “More investment from the industry is needed in our country and in the Hispanic market.”
